Dr. Anita Borg (1949–2003) believed that technology affects all aspects of our economic, political, social and personal lives. A technology rebel with a cause, in her life she fought tirelessly to ensure that technology’s impact would be a positive one. It was this vision that inspired Anita in 1997 to found the Institute for Women and Technology. The University of Edinburgh will offer 40 Master’s scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2014-2015 academic session.
Fifteen scholarships will have a value of £5,000 each, while a further twenty-five scholarships will have a value of £3,000 each. These scholarships will be tenable for one academic year and will be deducted from tuition fees.
ETH Zurich supports excellent students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH with two scholarship programmes:
Under the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) students receive a special scholarship for the duration of their programme as well as specific supervision.
The scholarship covers the full study and living costs during their Master’s degree course.
Under the Master Scholarship Programme (MSP) students receive a partial stipend during their Master’s degree course and the offer of an assistantship.
Uppsala University will award several scholarships for fee-paying students applying for Master’s programmes commencing in the autumn of 2014. These scholarships cover the total cost of tuition fees for all courses within the programme, i.e. 30 credits per semester.Uppsala University’s scholarships are only available for students who are required to pay tuition fees and have applied for a Master’s programme through universityadmissions.se
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) is delighted to sponsors the SPDC Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for applicants from Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa States. The main objective of the scholarship scheme is to provide an opportunity for qualifying students from the three Niger Delta States to further their education in courses that are relevant to the oil and gas industry.
